The International Workshop on Wireless Network Security and Privacy - WiNetSec2009

Wireless technologies have a great impact on communication technologies. Besides the very obvious benefits, such as portability, availability and flexibility, the wireless technologies encompass many security threats.

The objective of the WiNetSec2009 Workshop is to discuss and exchange cutting-edge research results regarding new attack methods on wireless networks, techniques to thwart them, as well as the privacy issues which arise from the implementation and operation of specific wireless technologies.

The authors are encouraged to submit full papers describing original, previously unpublished, complete research, not currently under review by another conference or journal, addressing state-of-the-art research and development in all areas of computer networking and data communications.

The ICUMT 2009 Conference Proceedings, including the WiNetSec2009 Workshop, will be published in IEEE Xplore and indexed in relevant databases.

Selected best and outstanding papers will be considered for international journal special issues.

The WiNetSec2009 Workshop will be held in conjunction with the International Conference on Ultra Modern Telecommunications (ICUMT 2009) in St. Petersburg, Russia, 12-14 October, 2009.
